The Friends of Estonia (FOE) is a United Methodist Church organization established to help U.S. congregations coordinate their mutual efforts to assist the Church in Estonia.  Working with the Board of Global Ministries, World Evangelism, Volunteers in Mission, and other UM entities, FOE provides a forum where Estonian and U.S. congregations can work together to renew the Estonian church after 40 years of Communist oppression.

Integral to this process is the collaborative efforts of U.S. congregations with each other and with Estonian congregations.  For instance, U.S. churches sponsor scholarships Estonian students as well as trips to U.S. for young Estonian leaders to experience new ministry tools and ideas.  Short-term mission teams from the U.S. help complete construction and renovation projects, lead workshops and vacation Bible schools, and participate in other ministry opportunities across Estonia.  FOE encourages U.S. churches to participate in one of two programs designed to partner U.S. and Estonian congregations with an eye toward the spiritual growth of both.  It also helps raise funds for many projects which help restore and rebuild the Church in Estonia.

Friends of Estonia is encourages the participation of any individual or United Methodist Congregation with a heart for the revival of the church in countries formerly oppressed by Communism.
